Community Practice #3

For my third community practice, I found the original recipe that my group and I had used to make cookies for our last project. The main food in the cookies was a native spanish ingredient called "dulce de leche;" even though it is also sold in stores in the U.S. When I searched this ingredient online I was able to find a recipe to make the cookies in Spanish. While it originally seemed as though the steps would be difficult to follow, I found that understanding them came relatively naturally once I was able to break them down into words and phrases that I already know. I enjoyed this process because it is realistic and relative to the spanish culture so it gave me a sense of understanding through a different set of eyes.
